Details
Generally, there are 20 girls per team. Each team travels to the neighboring towns of Agawam, Wilbraham, East Longmeadow, Holyoke, Westfield, Belchertown, Northampton and South Hadley. Each team participates in 1 or 2 tournaments or jamborees each season.
Schedule
Each team has 3-4 events such as practice or a game each week throughout the season. It’s one of the few programs in town where the coaching of teams may be a partnership of volunteer parents (folks who may know the game but more importantly, know the girls) and young professional coaches (who know the game and may have played in college or coached somewhere else). Season starts in late August and runs through the first week of November.
Volunteers
Parent coaches, assistants and volunteers are needed so please let us know your interest. More information will be sent to the participants in August.
Apparel & Equipment
Uniform shirts and socks are provided. Players are responsible for:
- Wearing plain black shorts to each game
- Stick (a limited number of sticks are available to borrow)
- Mouth guard
- Goggles
- Shin pads
- Water Bottle
