Age Friendly Community Task Force Scope
The Age Friendly Community Task Force is convened to advise the Select Board and Long Range Plan Steering Committee on the needs of older adults related to housing and transportation options, access to key services, and opportunities to participate in community activities. The Age Friendly Community Task Force will engage with older adults and care givers to assess their needs related to these topics, and report their findings and recommendations back to the Select Board and Long Range Plan Steering Committee. The Task Force will formalize these results into an Age Friendly Action Plan, which will qualify the Town to become an AARP certified Age Friendly Community. The Long Range Plan Steering Committee will ensure that these findings are included in the ongoing Long Range Plan update, and the Select Board will formally submit Action Plan to AARP for certification.
